About me
Bindy Fleischman, School Liaison at Wellesley Books and English teacher at German International School Boston, has been an active member of USBBY since 2002. In that time she has served many of the board committees, including being Massachusetts State Ambassador, chairing the Outstanding International Books List committee (2017-2019), overseeing the transition from print to digital format as USBBY newsletter editor, and completing/submitting nominations for the Lampedusa Silent Books project. She represents and educates people about USBBY/IBBY with workshops and presentations at libraries, museums, conferences, schools and universities throughout Massachusetts and the U.S.. She currently serves on the USBBY Executive Board as liaison for the IBBY Outstanding Books for Young People with Disabilities nominating committee.
